Bristol is in the South West of England, around 200km West of London, and close to the River Severn that separates England from Wales.

The main airport is Bristol International, situated to the South West of the City. The nearby M4 and M5 motorways provide good access by road, and Bristol Temple Meads is one of the major train stations in the South West region. There are regular trains connecting many areas of the country.

Historically Bristol was a thriving port. The dock area had laid in decline for many years but and there has been redevelopment over recent years. It is also home to Brunel's impressive suspension bridge. In the city centre there are an array of shops from the major chains to boutique and gift style shops.
