Plymouth is in the South West on England, on the South coast, and around 200 miles away from the city of London.
Getting to Plymouth
By road (from every direction except Cornwall), you will no doubt end up on the M5 motorway at some point. This road goes all the way down to Exeter, and you will then need to follow the A38, which takes you into Plymouth. There are links to and from Plymouth and France by ferry. Plymouth train station provides direct connections to many of the South's main line stations. By air, Plymouth City Airport provides good access to Cornwall from other UK airports such as Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol.
