Southampton is located on the South coast of England, about 80 miles West of London.
Getting to Southampton
The M27 motorway provides good access into Southampton by road. The main line train station, Southampton Central, connects to nearby cities such as Bristol and London. BAA Southampton provides flights to and from other UK cities and many European destinations. It is situated just outside the city centre on the interchange of the M3 and M27.

Southampton was once known as the gateway to the world and is rich in maritime history. The Titanic departed from Southampton on its fatal maiden voyage. The Mayflower set sail in 1620 on its voyage to America. Today, many cruise liners dock here including the famous QE2 and QM2. Southampton is a thriving tourist port with ample range of shopping facilities, bars and dining experiences to suit all tastes. The city parks provide a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle.
